Here at Euphoria Maltese I am a small hobby breeder of show quality Maltese Dogs. I pride myself in producing happy, healthy, sound Maltese that conform to the AKC Breed Standard.

I purchased my first show dog in August of 2004 from White Magic Maltese in Germany. CH. White Magic Z’Sugar Grace, “Grace”, was my first Champion and my foundation here at Euphoria. She was bred to MBIS/MBISS Ch. Divine’s Marc Of Friendship ROMX, “Marc”, bred by Sheila Riley of Malta Angel Maltese and Angela Stanberry of Divine Maltese, and owned by Christine Gillies of Scotland. From that breeding, I finished my first Bred By, Ch. Euphoria’s Marc of Elegance, “Ellie”. Then Grace was bred to MBIS/MBISS Ch. Marcris Thrill of Victory, “Thriller”, bred by Joyce Watkins of Marcris Maltese and owned and shown by Tonia Holibaugh of Rhapsody Maltese and Barbara Davis of Veranda Maltese. From that breeding, I finished my second Bred By, Ch. Euphoria’s Lusty Thrills, “Jezebel”. She is extra special to me because not long after she was born “Thriller” passed away and every time I look at her she reminds me of him and what a special little guy he was. I definitely feel lucky to have her. “Thriller” gave his kids his outgoing personality, great conformation and, of course, his beautiful eyes and expression. Grace’s last litter was out of MBIS/BISS Ch. Rhapsody’s Smart Remark, “Smarty”, bred/owned and shown by Tonia Holibaugh of Rhapsody Maltese. From this breeding, I finished my third Bred By, Ch. Euphoria’s Just Smartin’ Off, “Sarah” (named for my little cousin Sarah). I consider myself very lucky to have been able to breed “Grace” to these 3 Best In Show winning boys. It is something I only dreamed of when I bought my first show dog. The combination of Grace and these boys has made Grace eligible for her ROM (Register Of Merit) for producing 3 Champion kids. “Grace” is now retired with her best friend “Silly” and they spend their days chilling out on the couch and keeping my spot warm in bed.

Not long after getting Grace, I got the opportunity to come and work for professional handler, Tonia Holibaugh of Rhapsody Maltese. I attribute my success in showing my dogs to having had the chance to work for her. I have worked for her for almost 4 years and love every minute of it. I help groom, train and show many different toy breeds, as well as Dachshunds, and Lhasa Apsos. This opportunity has cemented my desire to become a professional handler one day .

The highlights of showing for me have of course finishing my own dogs as well as getting some group placements on other breeds. My first group placement was on a black and white Shih Tzu owned by Obsession Shih Tzu. Then there is “Radar”, a Yorkshire Terrier, owned by Donna Bird. He has been a blast to show, I have gotten many group placements on him under the guidance of Tonia, including a Group 2nd behind Tonia on the day she went Best In Show With “Smarty”. I have also had the privilege of showing some Miniature Smooth Dachshunds for one of the top breeders in the world, Cindy Senff of Dynadaux Miniature Dachshunds. I look forward to every weekend and every show as a learning experience. There is always something new and exciting happening in the world of dogs.

Without Tonia Holibaugh of Rhapsody Maltese, Sheila Riley of Malta Angel Maltese Angie Stanberry of Divine Maltese, I do not know where I would be today. I will be forever grateful for them sharing their dogs, knowledge and friendship with me. They are my mentors, friends, and officially part of my family.

As well as my other good friends and fellow Maltese devotees, Ron Stonke of Baybreeze Maltese, Mary Ann Archletta of Avante Maltese, Eva, Chris, and Braelynn Gillet of Unforgettable Maltese, Loretta and Tom Gitto of Tiffanee Maltese, Sharon Person of Foxstone Maltese, and Barbara Davis of Veranda Maltese.

It was easy to come up with a kennel name as it is what I feel every time I look into the faces of my dogs, every time I see a new puppy being born, every time I show one of my dogs, and every time I see the happiness on the faces of the new owners of my puppies. I am more than happy to share some of my Euphoria with you.
